In this painting, I was thinking about how I get overwhelmed by external factors affecting me. The outside colors are trying to affect my body. Sometimes I place my hands over my heart to protect myself. I feel my heartbeat and remind myself that I am alive, safe, loved, and thankful for everything that I have.
