This is a painting about a mother who is carrying her baby through the trenches. I wanted to show the strength and courage of mothers. I admire all mothers who carry a baby for 9 months, deliver, sleep deprived from nursing and diaper changes, and all the other sacrifices they make on a daily basis. Mothers are heroes.
